註:	為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，政府會測試應徵公務員職位人士的《基本法》知識。只會在兩位申請人的整體表現相若時，政府才會參考申請人在基本法知識測試中的表現。
職責:	食水樣本檢驗員主要負責(i)從供水系統、濾水廠、用戶樓宇或其他指定地方收集水樣本及其他樣本; 及(ii)實地進行簡單的化驗。(註: 有關人員須穿著制服。)
聘用條款:	獲取錄的申請人通常會按公務員試用條款受聘三年。通過試用關限後，或可獲考慮按當時適用的長期聘用條款聘用。

Job Title:	Water Sampler
Salary:	Master Pay Scale Point 2 ($12,890) per month to Master Pay Scale Point 11 ($22,560 )per month.
Entry Requirements:	Candidates should : (a) completed Form 4, or equivalent; and (b) attained a level of proficiency in Chinese and English languages equivalent to Form 4 standard.
Note:	For the purpose of heightening public awareness of the Basic Law (BL) and promoting a culture of learning of BL in the community, applicants for civil service jobs will be assessed on their BL knowledge. The BL test result will be taken into account only if two candidates are considered equal in all other aspects.
Duties:	A Water Sampler is mainly deployed on (i) taking water and other samples from supply systems, treatment works, consumers’ premises and elsewhere as required; and (ii) performing simple chemical test on site. (Note: required to wear uniform)
Terms of Appointment:	A new recruit will normally be appointed on civil service probationary terms for three years. Upon passage of probation bar, he/she may be considered for appointment on the prevailing permanent terms.
