薪酬:  第一標準薪級表第0點(月薪港幣10,555元)至第一標準薪級表第8點  
(月薪港幣12,445元)

入職條件:
此職位無論男女均可申請。申請人必須能夠:
(a)  以廣東話/中文和簡單英文溝通;
(b)  閱讀簡單中文和簡單英文;以及
(c)  書寫簡單中文或簡單英文。

註:
(1)  申請人須通過技能測驗。
(2)   為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣,所有公務員職位的招聘,均會包括《基本法》知識的評核。獲邀參加遴選面試的應徵者,其對基本法的認識會在面試中以口頭提問形式被評核。除非兩位應徵者的整體表現相若,招聘當局才會參考應徵者在基本法知識測試中的表現。

職責:
主要負責:
(a) 信差職務,包括在室內及戶外收取及派遞文件及其他物品等;
(b) 體力勞動工作,包括搬移辦公室家具、物料及器材,以及清潔辦公室設備及器材等;
(c) 簡單辦公室職務,包括在辦公室接待處負責接待、影印、分類及傳真文件、寄信、茶房服務等;以及
(d)  辦公室保安職務,包括開啟/鎖上辦公室出入口等。

備註: 
(1)   每星期須淨工作45小時。可能須不定時工作及輪班當值(包括星期六、日及公眾假期);以及執行緊急支援職務及戶外工作。 
(2)   本次招聘由消防處、路政署、土地註冊處及工業貿易署聯合進行。申請人只需遞交一份申請表,便會同時獲四個部門考慮。 
(3) 獲取錄的申請人將由其聘用部門的部門首長負責職系管理。如有需要,獲取錄者須接受部門間調職安排,以填補其他決策局/部門內同一職系的職位空缺及執行同一職系下不同種類的職務。

備註(適用於消防處):
(1)  職責(b)項包括 清潔消防車輛及救護車。
(2)  獲取錄的申請人可能被派往消防處的任何辦事處、消防局或救護站工作  (包括偏遠地區及離島)。

聘用條款:
獲取錄的申請人通常會按公務員試用條款受聘三年。通過試用關限後,或可獲考慮按當時適用的長期聘用條款受聘。

附註:
(a) 除另有指明外,申請人於獲聘時必須已成為香港特別行政區永久性居民。

Job Title: Workman II (Joint Recruitment of Fire Services Department, Highways Department, Land Registry & Trade and Industry Department)
Salary: Model Scale 1 Pay Scale Point 0 ($10,555 per month) to Model Scale 1 Pay Scale Point 8 ($12,445 per month)
Entry Requirements: The post is open to both male and female applicants. Candidates should be able to –
(a) communicate in Cantonese/Chinese and simple English;
(b) read simple Chinese and simple English; and
(c) write simple Chinese or simple English.
Note: (1) Candidates will be required to pass a trade test.
(2) For the purpose of heightening public awareness of the Basic Law (BL) and promoting a culture of learning of BL in the community, assessment of BL knowledge will be included in the recruitment for all civil service jobs. Candidates who are invited to attend the selection interview will be tested orally on their BL knowledge during the interview. The results of BL assessment will be taken into account only if two candidates are considered equal in all other aspects.
Duties: Mainly deployed on –
(a) messengerial duties, including indoor and outdoor collection and delivery of documents and other articles, etc.;
(b) manual labour work, including moving office furniture, stores and equipment, and cleansing of office equipment and appliances, etc.;
(c) simple office duties, including manning of office reception counters, photocopying, sorting and faxing of documents, mailing letters, pantry services, etc.; and
(d) office security duties, including opening/locking office entrances, etc.

Remarks:
(1) Required to work 45 hours net per week. May be required to work irregular hours and shifts (including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays); and perform emergency relief duties and outdoor duties.
(2) This is a recruitment jointly conducted by the Fire Services Department, Highways Department, Land Registry as well as Trade and Industry Department. Applicants are only required to submit one application form which will be considered by the four Departments at the same time.
(3) Successful candidates will be under the grade management of the head of the department to which they are appointed. They are subject to posting to fill vacancies and carry out different duties in the same grade in other Government bureaux/departments when the need arises.

Remarks (for Fire Services Department):
(1) Duties in (b) above include cleansing of fire appliances and ambulances.
(2) Successful candidates may be posted to work in any office, fire station or ambulance depot of the Fire Services Department (including remote areas and outlying islands).
Terms of Appointment: New appointees will normally be appointed on civil service probationary terms for three years. Upon passage of probation bar, the officer may be considered for appointment on the prevailing permanent terms.
