【瑪竇福音2:1-12分享】
主顯節紀念耶穌向世人顯示真實的身份。有人認為兒童痛苦時會哭泣，成人痛苦時會嗟嘆，長者痛苦時會沉默，天主子女痛苦時會更肖似基督。耶穌是苦命人，一出 生就被黑落德王折騰，一生為救贖人類犧牲，歷盡苦難。願主以照耀賢士的真光，指引我們在生活中以基督為榜樣，樂意犧牲，力行仁愛。

【Reflection on Mt 2:1-12】
Worship is what is due to God. So like the wise men, we have to see God in all things, enter into His holy presence, open and offer our precious gifts to Him—our whole self! Our whole life is an act of worship. We adore the Lord if we live according to His will. We have nothing more to offer Him but this gift that He has given us.

【我們從東方來朝拜他】
當黑落德為王時，耶穌誕生在猶大的白冷。看，有賢士從東方來到耶路撒冷，說：「剛誕生的猶太人君王在那裡？我們在東方見到了他的星，特來朝拜他。」
黑落德王聽見了，就驚慌起來；全耶路撒冷也同他一起驚慌。黑落德王便召集了眾司祭長和民間的經師，仔細考問他們：「默西亞應當生在那裡？」他們對他說： 「在猶大的白冷，因為先知曾這樣記載：『你猶大白冷啊！你在猶大的郡邑中，決不是最小的，因為將由你出來一位領袖；他將牧養我的百姓以色列。』」
於是，黑落德暗暗把賢士叫來，仔細詢問他們那星出現的時間；然後打發他們往白冷去，說：「你們去仔細尋訪那嬰孩，幾時找到了，就向我報告，好讓我也去朝拜他。」賢士聽了王的話，就走了。
看，他們在東方所見的那星，走在他們前面，直至來到嬰孩所在的地方，就停在上面。他們一見到那星，極其高興歡喜。他們走進屋裡，看見嬰孩和他的母親瑪利亞，就俯伏朝拜了那嬰孩，並打開自己的寶匣，給嬰孩奉獻了禮物，即黃金、乳香和沒藥。
賢士在夢中得到指示，不要回到黑落德那裡，就由另一條路，返回自己的地方。

【We Came From The East To Do Him Homage】
When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, in the days of King Herod, behold, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star at its rising and have come to do him homage.” When King Herod heard this, he was greatly troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. Assembling all the chief priests and the scribes of the people, He inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. They said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it has been written through the prophet: And you, Bethlehem, land of Judah,are by no means least among the rulers of Judah;since from you shall come a ruler,who is to shepherd my people Israel.” Then Herod called the magi secretly and ascertained from them the time of the star’s appearance. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search diligently for the child. When you have found him, bring me word, that I too may go and do him homage.” After their audience with the king they set out. And behold, the star that they had seen at its rising preceded them, until it came and stopped over the place where the child was. They were overjoyed at seeing the star, and on entering the house they saw the child with Mary his mother. They prostrated themselves and did him homage. Then they opened their treasures and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. And having been warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed for their country by another way.

「主 顯節」的起源固然來自於瑪二1-12，但是，在教會的傳統中，被增入了許多情節。其實《瑪》只是用了複數的Magos，並沒有說有「三位」東方來的「王」 到了白冷。Magos也不是什麼特別的「賢士」，而是善於占卜和解夢的星象家或者巫師而已。至於「星」這個議題，那也沒有辦法證諸史實。

顯然，從整個《瑪》的角度來看，這個敘事的神學性遠遠大於史實性：儘管《瑪》的寫作對象是皈依的猶太人，但是，天主子降生成人的訊息從一開始即有分於外邦人。這樣一個主題應對著耶穌自己的天國觀：瑪八11，廿二1-14，廿八19。今日福音明確地到表達了這個寫作意圖。茲從兩點予以揭曉：

（1）選民們驚慌，外邦人歡喜！救主就在身邊誕生了，卻引致黑落德與全耶路撒冷的「驚慌」（二3）；Magos卻從不知名的東方循星光而來，「極其高興喜歡」（二10）地拜見聖嬰之後，遂乘“心光”而歸。

（2）黑落德殺戮，星象師崇敬！黑落德「仔細考問」（二4）、「仔細詢問」（二8）的態度與三王的「寶匣」（二11）亦形成了鮮明對比。寶匣打開之後，裏面有代表崇敬的黃金、乳香和沒藥；「仔細考問、詢問」的結果卻是，暴君戳殺嬰兒（二16-18）。

這些隱喻性的表達，呈現出這兩組人各自對於「才誕生的猶太人君王」（二2）的不同感受。因此，嬰兒耶穌赫然成了人類心靈的試金石。然而，這嬰兒不是黑落德 所理解的霸王，而是所有敏感於「光」和「崇敬」之人的上主。當耶穌隨後站在比拉多面前時，他自己肯定了這一點（廿七11），不過，他更明白自己將以刺冠 （廿七29）為王冠，以十字架作旌旗（廿七37）。待一切完成之後，他向全人類打開了一個更大的寶匣：自己的空墓穴。那，他到哪里去了？

他將自己作為禮物送給了所有對「光」和「崇敬」有興趣的人，讓他們「成為門徒」（廿八19）。於是，「白冷之星」就成了所有追求真理、嚮往光明者的隱喻，聖言就在這微光的後面！

如今，「主顯節」（Epiphany），乃是循光以進的人，慶祝他們因抵達光源，而「極其高興喜歡」的佳節。不是嗎，我們正在歡欣鼓舞地讓自己「在光中行走」（若壹一7）！
